LIMITATIONS

  • It is not recommended to use for tile with grout joint larger than 3mm
  • For higher chemical resistance use ADHCrete 3000 SERIES EPOXY GROUT
  • Do not clean tile joints by using acids
  • Clean tile face promptly; don’t allow settling material on tile face. Seal Porous tiles before grouting.

Installation Instructions

Proper surface preparation is essential for the correct installation of any floor covering. Ensure that the adhesive has set and dried, and that tiles are firm. Before starting to grout remove spacers and other residue in grout joints and clean dust, loose material and any other contamination with wet sponge which may interface with good bond. Do not leave water standing between grout joints. Surface temperature should be maintained between 10° C to 34° C.

The standard mixing ratio is 400 ml of ADHMix TG for 1 kg of ADHCrete 2000 series superfine grout powder. Put ADHMix TG admixture in the mixing container first, and then add ADHCRET 2000 superfine series grout. Mix with hand or slow speed mixer until it’s obtaining a homogeneous lump free paste. Let the properly mixed grout paste to slake for 5 minutes and remix.

Dampen the surface with water. Using rubber float, apply the grout to a small area at a time. Completely fill the joints leaving no voids. Excess grout should be removed immediately using a rubber float held at 90° to the tiles .Float should be moved diagonally across the tiles to prevent removal of grout within the joints. Ensure that the grout completely fills the tile joints and remove the excess material.
Grout Primary Cleaning: Remove excess grout from the face of the tiles with the edge of the grout float. Hold the float at a 90° angle and pull it at a 45° angle diagonally across the joints and tile to avoid pulling out the material.
Grout Secondary Cleaning: Remove remaining grout with a damp sponge (not wet) or a damp towel. Work diagonally to the joints. Allow to dry. When the grout joints are firm polish the surface with a coarse nylon pad or coarse cloth and minimal water.
Note: Use caution when polishing soft glazed tiles or polished stone.

APPLICATIONS

Remove all mixed epoxy grout from container and spread out on mortar board as soon as mixing is completed. Grout vertical surfaces as soon as possible after mixing. When grouting walls place epoxy on single unbounded tile or plastic sheet on floor.

Apply grout using a hard epoxy rubber float, filling all joints full and even with the surface of tile. It is important to achieve 100% fill coverage with no voids in the joints to prevent pin holes and slumping of the epoxy grout.

AREAS TO USE

  • Interior & exterior applications
  • Continuous immersed applications, pools, spas and steam rooms.
  • Industrial, commercial, processing plants, restaurants and commercial kitchens
  • Installations requiring high acid and chemical resistance
  • Installations requiring clinical sanitation, hospitals laboratories and veterinary clinic

ADVANTAGES

  • Uniform colour.
  • Easy mixing & application
  • Non shrinking and non cracking
  • Water and whether resistance
  • Chemical and thermal resistance
  • Hard and durable
  • Stain free

LIMITATIONS

  • Do not alter the mixing ratio of Part A, Part B & Part C
  • Light colour may darken slightly from direct UV exposure
  • Should not be used in an environment with temperature requirement 100
  • All epoxies are temperature sensitive epoxies are easy to apply when temperature between 21° C to 29° C. Lower temperature will cause epoxy to become stiff and extend the initial set. Higher temperature will cause to become fluid, will accelerate the set.
  • Not recommended for some manufacturing facilities where heavy solvents are used. Consult technical services on questionable installations
  • Actual colour may slightly vary compare to grout shade card when colour consideration is critical, mock-up should be constructed prior to final selection and application
  • When used to install tile in an area that will be continually wet (e.g. swimming pools, fountains, etc.), it is recommended that the complete installation be cured 14 days prior to full submersion with chemically treated water.

Installation Instructions

Grout joints must be clean, dry and be free from any excess adhesive or foreign material and not subjected to the temperature less than 16° C or more than 36° C. It may be necessary to take excess adhesive from the grout joints to ensuring a maximum and uniform grout joint depth is achieved. For porous or unglazed tiles, it may be necessary to dampen the joints prior to application. It is recommended that porous tiles be sealed prior to grouting to avoid staining. Tile spacers must be removed prior to grouting.

Pour entire contents of ADHCrete 3000 series epoxy Grout Part A and Part B container into a clean mixing pail. Mix with a trowel or a slow speed drill mixer until liquids are completely blended. Add ADHCRETE Part “C” Filler Powder in to a mixed liquid and mix to a uniform consistency. Mix as stiff as possible to work into the joints. Once mixed, the material must be used within the specified pot life. After this time, unused material will have stiffened and should be discarded.

Remove excess grout by hold the float at a 90º angle and pulling the float diagonally across the grout joints using it like squeegee. Do not allow epoxy to set on face of tile.
Initial Cleaning: After 30-45 min of the application of the grout apply liberal amounts of clean water to the grouted area. Adding a few drops of dish washing liquid to the water will aid in cleanup. Using scrubbing sponge with as little pressure as possible, work in circular motion across tile to loosen epoxy film and to finish the joints smoothly. Change rinse water and sponge if build up occurs frequently to aid the clean-up. Then take a clean thick towel and drag across the tile to remove any residue.
Final Cleaning: Within 24 hours or after the grouts sets firmly do a second cleaning in similar way.

Tiles can accept light foot traffic after 24 hours and heavy traffic after 72 hours. Protect from harsh industrial cleaners for 7 days and aggressive chemical for 14 days. All grouting and cleaning should be complete within a pot life. Use only water for initial maintenance for 7 days. Avoid grouted area from dust, dirt and other contamination until it is fully cured.
